If you are here, then you are probably a lot like us. We’re pretty average people. Working a few jobs. Raising a few kids. You know, normal stuff. We’re just a couple of Christians trying to make a difference in the world around us. 

But, sometimes with all our commitments, it can be hard to truly live purposefully and intentionally every day. We've been distracted, we've been bogged down, we've been tired, we've made excuses. We've wondered if we really are making a difference.

And you have probably felt the same way. We know this because we have been right there with you. We need each other. We need community to truly make a lasting impact for Jesus and to live every day with the mission we have been given. 

We have spent years figuring out some of the best ways to do that in our everyday lives. And we are still learning new things every day. You are probably here because you are trying to figure out these very same things.

That is Why This Website Exists!!!

It is our passion to help and inspire you with things we have learned, stories from our lives, and stories from those around us. We want to help you to be present everyday with the people God has placed in your life. They are not there by accident. We can all make a lasting impact and a difference exactly where God has placed us.

We started with a plan to establish a new church in the Midtown area of Sacramento, but we quickly realized there was a greater need for Christians who would simply be good neighbors. We now focus most of our time being present in the city God has placed us. Spending time and nurturing wonderful relationships with our neighbors, in restaurants, bars, cafes, and schools throughout our city. We now think of ourselves more as missionaries in our city but we don’t focus too much on the title.

In addition to the training and resources we offer here, we have been part of Forge Sacramento (an organization devoted to training men and women to live as missionaries in their neighborhoods) since 2014. Our role with Forge Sacramento has been to develop and coordinate content and coach participants in the local residency program. And in 2017, we stepped in to lead the organization as the Executive Director and Events Director. Joe has also been teaching college courses in Bible and History since 2011.

Early in 2016, we published a book titled, Bless Like Jesus: Stop Trying to Convert and Simply Show People They Matter. And, in August, we launched 3 levels of content to enhance the reader's experience with the book, ranging from a free email series to personal coaching with us.
